Cheesecakes Unlimited opened in downtown Redding in 1991 and was an instant success. In fact, their loyal customer base kept growing so much they’ve had to move several times.

Though their cheesecake really is fabulous, Cheesecakes is perhaps best known for their amazing salads, something Best Of voters knows as top-notch.

With locally sourced vegetables and dressings made from scratch, it’s hard to miss with any of the salads. There are 11 on the menu, so choosing can be a challenge. The choices include tasty options like the Glazed Walnut Chicken with orange champagne vinaigrette and the Shrimp Pine nut with a garlic basil vinaigrette topped with blue cheese.

Cheesecakes Unlimited’s home in the old Pine Street School is as fun and fresh as its many delicious salads.

Whether you need to stoke those romantic reservations, keep them burning hot or are just looking to impress that special someone, Clearie’s is the clear choice for Best Of Voters.

But why? After all, there are plenty of nice restaurants in the North State. The answer lies in the details. Everything is scrutinized – the menu, the staff, the décor, the ambiance– so that you’re night out can be focused solely on the two of you.

In addition to quality service, the food is top-notch and varied with something for everyone’s palate. Then there are the little things which subtly add to the ambiance and experience. Things like clean restrooms, full salt and pepper shakers, cloth on the tables and bussers who discretely whisk away dirty dishes, so you can relax and enjoy the company.

W hen you want to go out and spend your hard-earned money for a great night out, there’s really only one option that has everything – Clearie’s Restaurant & Lounge.

When Robbie Clearie opened the restaurant in 2011, Redding history collided with her place located on the site that had been The Shack. In addition, she ordered up a few dishes from her grandfather’s restaurant – Doc’s Skyroom and Sports Bar.

Fast forward and Clearie’s is the go-to for a great night out and overall dining experience. From it’s amazing bar and attentive bar staff to ridiculous appetizers and a menu that looks like it was plucked from a New York or L.A. . five-star restaurant, Clearie’s breaks the mold for great dining in Redding.

With its history and Robbie Clearie out to make her own history, it’s not hard to see why Best Of voters continually choose her place as the Best Restaurant.
